New year.....

Its been a crazy few months around here. I can't believe i haven't blogged for 6 months. In november i ended  up having to have a pretty major surgery . The recovery has been rough and at 9 weeks i can finally say im feeling better. Those that know me know that i am not the most patient person in the world, so its been rough.  But im going into this new year with a grateful heart and a whole new outlook on being grateful each day especially for a healthy body. I started crossfit again this morning well see how sore i am tommorrow.
My lil girl is my go to with hair, her hair is so pretty. I love this style so i decided to try it on me but instead of leaving the end out i tucked mine underneath and bobby pinned it.  I picked this really cute vest up at my sisters closet . I love to support local boutiques. Plus im always freezing so a light vest is perfect for anyday !

Baptisim Hair

So last week my little sweetie pie choose to be baptized.(what we believe)
Can i just say this day was so amazing! All the days leading up to it were so stressful for me. My youngest had penounima , my husband was out of town, i was running around crazy trying to get last minute things done before saturday. It was crazy, but saturday came and went just like that and it was over & I was sad.I  so needed this spiritual experience i had at her baptisim. She is such a beauty inside and out and I am so grateful she is my daughter. My mom handmade her dress, which took many hand hours it was beyond beautiful and will im sure be an heirloom. Such a labor of love.

So we had to wake up early so the night before we washed her hair then i just put it up in a top knot on her head so in the morning it was still damp. I did her hair like this a few weeks ago for church and put it on my instagram, so we decieded thats what she wanted to do on her special day.
start with a ducth braid in the front of the hair working back

Then do the other side the same, then  carefully roll the left side making a bun/flower look then pin it , leaving right side out.
 finished product!
Baptisim Day
so the next day was sunday and we did the same concept only i wrapped the left side in with the right and pinned so there was no hair left out. Then we added the handmade hair peice i had made previously. Isn't she dreamy!

All tied together Dutch Braid

First off if you haven't heard of this story you must toddler trapped in water in spanish fork ut . My brother in law was one of the fire men there helping! What an amazing story.
The lord always seems to send mighty miracles , at just the right time! I pray that little girl keeps fighting for her life! And for the family that lost a daughter .
Ok for this braid I got a little bit crafty haha! Ill walk you through it with these pictures.
part the hair in three sections.
Do a dutch braid. Remember a dutch braid is just like a real braid only you braid under instead of over each strand. That is what makes it pop out.

Now you should have three dutch braids on the head
Carefully pull the strands to make them look looser.
Take a few bobby pins and pin together so it looks like on giant braid.
So pretty right! Follow me on instagram for more of these awesome ideas!

Bang Braid

My hair is driving me a bit batty lately. Its hot and in my face. This is one of my favorite braids to get my bangs out of my face. First take a big section of bang and put the rest of the hair back into aponytail.
I always start with the first section and braid that pulling hair into my face as I braid so it comes down lower on my forehead, pin it. Then take the next section and do the same thing. when your done with this seciton At the bottom pin them together with bobby pins on side of head. I usually loosen the braid carefully so it looks a bit bigger and messy. Use the bobby pins where ever you need to.

Braid in a Braid

I haven't posted for a while. We've been so busy with getting ready for school and saying goodbye to cousins that live in Hawaii. And trying to finish out the rest of the summer with all around fun !
So this lil Hair did is so easy anyone can do it!
Start with a High pony tail
Take one section out of the pony and Braid it

Then Use the braided section as part of a normal braid, Then braid them all together!~

So cute and so simple!~~~
BTW if you live in Utah and are looking for something cool to do with the kids! There is a great thing happening at BYU museum of art. They have a whole bunch of costumes from various movies, like Pirates of the Caribbean, pride n prejudice, phantom, etc. It was so neat to see them up close the talent these designers have is incredible.
And its free! Take advantage Byu always has great things like this!

Two Dutch FIsh Braid

So we just got back from a fun day of swimming. My lil princess had just washed her hair so no better way than to throw it up in  a quick briad.
I started with a dutch braid on the side of the head. I only went to her ear then stopped and secured this braid with an elastic.
Next I started another dutch braid on the other side of the head just above the ear. unti I met up with the next braid

Then I combined both braids together twisting them once, Then continue to fishtail the rest of the hair with big chunky sections.

Easy and cute and out of the way. If she sleeps on it hopefully it will be a bit wavy in the morning!

Boho Braid

So Yesterday for church I was just messing around with my daughters hair and this is what I came up with.... I really need to use my real camera but my phone is so easy.
But there not the best pictures sorry.
Start with a side french braid leaving out a section on top for a fishtail. Secure the braid at the bottom with an elastic when your done.
Fishtail the top of the hair you sectioned out earlier
I did loosen it a bit so it wasn't so tight.

Then I put an elastic on the end of the fishtail then secure the fishtail inside  the top of the braid with somebobby pins so the ealstic is hidden.

Turned out pretty cute. It was a bit loose but thats the way I wanted it to look.

Fish Tail!

Its a fish tail kinda day! :) ITs a bit chilly today which I love! You don't have to watch the dollar bills fly out of the air conditioner , you get to open the windows and smell the fresh pavement from the rain. and it makes you want to be lazy. But my kids are a bit bored I just sent them upstairs to play legos nicley together. Well see how long it lasts.
So Yesterday I decided to throw in a few quick braids again to get her hair out of her face. I did  two dutch braids coming from both sides then connecting in the middle. It wasn't for show, she was just playing . So today when we took it out it was wavy.

But Today is a fish tail kinda day. I threw this dandy together to get my hair out of my eyes. My hair is drivin me nuttso latley I really wish it was long again. But im gonna have to be patient.

                                                                         FISHTAIL Bangs

                                                          Waves from previase braid.

Take a section and split it in two.
Take the underside hair from the left sectionand bring it ontop of the rightsection.
Keep goin criss cross thats what I think of when Im fishtailing.,
                                                                 This is a tight one....
Or you can gently loosen it by pulling on the outer hair carefully
                                                                        DONE
